SeaMazz® Premium Raw Shrimp Tail-On or Off Preparation: To Thaw Shrimp: For best results, place shrimp in a covered bowl of cold water. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for approximately 8 hours, or overnight. Rinse shrimp in a colander under cold running water. Place unused portion in a covered bowl of ice water and refrigerate. For quick thawing, place shrimp in a colander under cold running water for 5-10 minutes. Gently rotate occasionally for even thawing. Then just let them drain for 2-3 minutes. Use immediately, or refrigerate in covered bowl of ice water until ready to use. Quick and Simple Cooking Ideas: Boiling: Bring 1 quart salted water to a boil. Add thawed shrimp and simmer gently for approximately 3 minutes. Shrimp is done when it turns opaque. Drain immediately and rinse in cold water. Stir-Frying or Sautéing: Heat oil or melt butter in a wok or skillet. Add parsley, garlic, your favorite herbs and chopped shallots. Add thawed shrimp, gently cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Pour in a small amount of wine or lemon juice at the last minute, just to heat through. Ready to serve! Grilling or Broiling: Thread thawed shrimp on skewers, alternating with bite-size pieces of onion, pepper, mushroom and tomatoes. Marinate in your favorite marinade or salad dressing for 2 hours in the refrigerator. Cook on a hot grill or broil for 3-5 minutes on each side.
